Main use
Orientation introduction
Melamine is a widely used basic organic chemical intermediate product, the most important use is as a raw material for the production of melamine formaldehyde resin (MF). Melamine can also be used as a flame retardant, water reducing agent, formaldehyde cleaning agent and so on. The resin hardness is higher than the urea formaldehyde resin, non-flammable, water resistance, heat resistance, aging resistance, arc resistance, chemical corrosion resistance, good insulation properties, gloss and mechanical strength, widely used in wood, plastic, paint, paper, textile, leather, electrical, medicine and other industries.
Specific use
Its main uses are as follows:
(1) Decorative panel: Melamine board, the full name is melamine impregnated film paper veneer board, is the paper with different colors or textures into melamine resin adhesive soaked, and then dried to a certain degree of curing, the pavement on the particleboard, medium density fiberboard or hard fiberboard surface, hot pressed decorative board. It is tightly bonded to the substrate during production. Because it is closely combined with the substrate (generally moisture-proof board), it is basically seamless, so it is high in environmental protection. It can be made into fireproof, earthquake-resistant, heat-resistant laminate, bright colored, strong heat-resistant decorative board, for aircraft, ships and furniture panels and fireproof, earthquake-resistant, heat-resistant house decoration materials. At present, middle and high-end furniture are made with it. Moreover, the melamine panel has a variety of different imitation wood grain styles, and the performance and beauty are higher than other pasted panels, so there is no need to paste the panel. Melamine board is now a mainstream of home decoration materials, it completely broke the original wood organization, destroyed the characteristics of the opposite wet expansion and dry shrinkage, size is very stable, to overcome the solid wood due to monomer shrinkage, easy deformation, cracking, with good dimensional stability, and insect prevention, no combustion, deformation, warping, corrosion resistance, easy maintenance and cleaning characteristics.
Product features: surface wear resistance: wear value ≤80 no bottom phenomenon after grinding 350 revolution;
Surface resistance to cigarette burning: no black spots, cracks, bubbling and other changes;
Surface resistance to pollution and corrosion: no pollution, no corrosion;
Surface resistance to water vapor: no protrusion, discoloration and cracking;
Surface resistance to hot and cold circulation: no cracking, no bubbling;
Surface scratch resistance: ≥1.5N surface without the whole circle continuous scratch;
Surface cracking resistance: Level 0 ~ 1 formaldehyde release :≤ 1.524h water absorption thickness expansion rate :≤
(2) Paint: After etherification with butanol and methanol, it can be used as a bonding agent for advanced thermosetting coatings and solid powder coatings, and can be used to make metal coatings and high-grade amino resin decorative paints for vehicles and electrical appliances.
(3) Molding powder: after mixing, granulation and other processes can be made into melamine plastic, non-toxic, anti-fouling, wet can still maintain good electrical properties, can be made into white, beatable daily utensils, sanitary ware and imitation porcelain tableware, electrical equipment and other advanced insulation materials.
(4) Paper: After etherization with ether, it can be used as a paper treatment agent to produce anti-wrinkle, anti-shrink, non-rotten banknotes and military maps and other advanced paper.
(5) Melamine formaldehyde resin mixed with other raw materials can also produce fabric finishing agent, leather tanning agent, polish agent and water resistant agent, rubber adhesive, accelerant, high efficiency cement water reducing agent, steel desalination agent, etc.
(6) Agriculture: In agriculture, melamine is used to add fertilizer.
Consumer market
China's melamine consumption market is mainly concentrated in wood processing, decorative panels, coatings, molding plastics, paper, textile, leather and other industries, of which wood processing industry accounts for 56% of the total domestic consumption. In addition, about 50% of China's melamine is exported, mainly to Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Spain, Germany, Indonesia, Italy and other countries.
The market with large domestic demand is Guangdong, Guangxi and southern Jiangsu, with an annual demand of about 12,500 tons. In the Guangdong and Guangdong regions, the market share of Shandong Haihua Kuixing Co., LTD., Sichuan Chuanhua Group Company and Hefei Sifang Group Company accounts for about 65% of the entire market. The users of the southern Jiangsu market are mostly individual private enterprises, although the demand is large, but the competition is very fierce, and the business risk is larger, followed by the Shanghai market, the annual demand is more than 10,000 tons, mainly occupied by Nanjing Jinxing, Petrochemical Industry Co., LTD., Sichuan Chuanhua Group Company, Hefei Sifang Group Company. The annual demand for the North China market is about 120 thousand tons, but there are many manufacturers in the region, the price is chaotic, and the competition is disorderly, so some manufacturers limit the supply to the region. The market demand in Northeast, Zhejiang, Fujian, Northwest, Xiang-Jiangxi and other places continues to increase, and the price is relatively stable. With the development of the western region, the future consumption will also continue to increase, focusing on construction, paint industry, coatings and other aspects, but because the overall economic level of the region is poor, the demand is not prosperous.
The global total consumption of melamine increased by more than 5%, but the distribution was uneven across regions. In 2003, the global demand for melamine was about 1.1 million tons, mainly concentrated in Europe, the United States and Japan and other developed countries and regions, accounting for about 60% to 70% of the global total consumption, mainly used in coatings, decorative paper or laminate, textile or paper making, molding plastics and adhesives and other industries. Global consumption is expected to be about 1.2 million tonnes in 2004, an increase of about 8 per cent over 2003.
In recent years, China's melamine consumption has grown rapidly, and currently maintains a growth rate of 10% to 20%. With the continuous improvement of China's overall economic development level, people's demand for high-grade building decoration materials is increasing. According to the data of the Floor Committee of the China Wood Circulation Association, the consumption of laminate wood flooring in China this year increased by about 30% year-on-year, and the mandatory standards for the control of free formaldehyde content of building materials officially implemented by the state since July 1, 2002, also greatly stimulated the consumption of melamine in the production of laminate wood flooring. But demand elsewhere is growing more slowly. It is expected that the growth rate of melamine consumption in China will remain at 10% to 20% in the next few years.
