The production process of Amino Moulding Plastic (AMP) involves the following key steps:

1. ‌Resin Pre-polymerization‌

• Urea and formaldehyde undergo controlled pre-polymerization to form urea-formaldehyde resin. Auxiliary materials (e.g., stabilizers) are added during this stage to optimize resin properties.

2. ‌Raw Material Mixing‌

• The pre-polymerized resin is combined with additives in a mixing reactor. Key additives include:
  • ‌Curing agents‌ (to initiate cross-linking),
  • ‌Release agents‌ (to facilitate demolding),
  • ‌Fillers‌ (e.g., plant fibers or cellulose for reinforcement).
• The mixture is homogenized and dried to reduce volatile content.

3. ‌High-Pressure Briquetting‌

• The dried material is heated to ‌45–80°C‌ to enhance plasticity while maintaining a loose, uncompacted state.
• It is then pressed into briquettes under ‌5,000–25,000 psi‌ pressure using a briquetting machine. The resulting briquettes have a low surface/volume ratio (‌<10:1‌) to minimize defects.

4. ‌Granulation‌

• Hot briquettes are immediately granulated into uniform particles. This step ensures material flowability and consistency for subsequent molding processes.

5. ‌Molding (Injection/Compression)‌

• Granules are fed into an injection molding machine or compression mold.
• Under heat and pressure, the material flows into the mold cavity, solidifies via thermosetting, and forms the final product‌
